Los Angeles, CA–You must now wear a face mask when going outside in Los Angeles. Mayor Eric Garcetti updated the coronavirus public declaration this week, which mandates residents who reside in Los Angeles to wear a face mask when walking, hiking as well as when patronizing businesses.
Places outside Los Angeles but still in L.A County are exempt.
It was also announced this week that L.A will extend their stay at home orders for another three months. This is the second time Los Angeles officials have extended the lock-down date many Angeleno’s were expecting, which would free them from home confinement they have been on since March.
Los Angeles Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer said that “with all certainty” the stay at home orders would be in place for the next three months. She also mentioned a five-step plan to ease restrictions in the coming months during the during County Board of Supervisors meeting Tuesday.
Many retail businesses have been allowed to re-open and do curbside pickup this week despite further measures being implemented to stop the coronavirus spread in Los Angeles.
