Last nights Grammy win was historic for the Bronx native Cardi-B, who could still be considered a relatively new artist. She won best album for a female rap artist.
A tweet from BET’s Twitter post Cardi’s win, prompted Nicki’s response that she would not be attending their award show or headline their concert and urged her fans to get a refund for purchased tickets. BET has since apologized for the tweets, stating it was unauthorized by the company.

We are also conducting an internal audit to assure these types of posts are not published again. We have apologized to Nicki and her team. The post has been removed and we have taken additional appropriate action. We understand Nicki’s position and look forward to continuing our dialogue with her. Finally, we apologize to all of her fans. This should have never happened. “
