LAPD Responds After Hiring Ad Appears On Far-Right Website Breitbart

Los Angeles, CA--The Los Angeles Police Department responded to public inquiry today, after their hiring ads landed on the conservative and alt-right website Breitbart. According to Google, “the alt-right, an abbreviation of alternative right, is a loosely connected far-rightwhite nationalist movement based in the United States.” 

Founded as a news agrregator site in 2007 by Andrew Breitbart, the vision for the website is “the Huffington Post of the right” according to Steve Bannon, former executive chairman of Breitbart.

The LAPD responded to a Twitter thread with the following statement:
