South Central, Los Angeles–J.stone, a close friend of the late rapper Nipsey Hussle, just released a memorial track dedicated to his friend. J. Stone is also one of the artist under Hussle’s All Money In record label.

Nipsey Hussle, born Ermias Asghedom, was gunned down in front of his clothing store located on the corner of Slauson and Crenshaw in South Central, Los Angeles March 31.

His murder is a tragic ending for a man who rose above gang life to reinvent himself as a businessman and independent rapper. The heights that Nipsey Hussle reached, aided by his business orientated mind and thirst for knowledge, has inspired people from all walks of life.

Nipsey Hussle’s story is a constant reminder that despite where you come from, staying down, hard work and dedication to a dream or vision, can help you accomplish goals that once seemed impossible.

J. Stone raps over a melodic beat on his single entitled, “The Marathon Continues,”

“Dreams, goals aspirations,

dedicated, fuck how long it take we never waited,

we elevated,

thought we was gone stop, we accelerated .

Through all the ups and downs we been through,

at least we made it.”

J. Stone’s catalogue is also noteworthy. Since his release from prison, he has dropped a consistent stream of mixtapes as well as his debut album under All Money In Records. If you really want to understand Nipsey Hussle’s story and the true loyalty and love he had for his day one homeboys, listen to some of J.Stone’s earlier tapes such as The Coldest Story Ever. His tapes give special insight into Nipsey Hussle’s principles as a man. Thorough is an understatement.

“And Nipsey you one of the realest Niggas that I’ve ever known.

It takes a lot of loyalty and courage,

to look out for me up in the pin when I was hurting.

Cause you could have easily turned your back,

but it’s not in you to do so and bro I owe you for that.

Because of you, I’m more close to my dreams,

because I hollered out success and you showed me exactly what it means,”

J. Stone- “The Realest Shit I Never Wrote” | The Coldest Story Ever.

“Hoggy left some Blue Faces in yo casket,

Adam left you a backwood rolled hella fat.

I left a Blue rag and an all money in hat.

YG poured a ACE of Spades, I poured Clique.

Took you through the whole L.A it was Nip day.

Obama wrote you a letter what more can I say?

Stevie sung at your funeral, Nigga you the Great.

The Marathon continues that’s what you’d say,” J.Stone

“The Marathon Continues.”
