California Governor Gavin Newsom announced today that schools, as well as gyms, bars and professional sports will resume next week. This re-opening is part of “phase 3” in California’s reopening plans.
The news comes as protests have erupted throughout the U.S over the death of George Floyd by police in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Only counties who have met certain guidelines will be allowed to reopen under this phase.
