January 17, 2020 marked 51 years since Alprentice ‘Bunchy’ Carter was assassinated at UCLA with John Huggins.

Bunchy Carter is a seldom celebrated figure in history, however, he is highly respected among those who knew him best. He is a notable figure in the story and history of Black Los Angeles, along with the Southern California chapter of the Black Panther Party.

The Black students at UCLA still commemorate Bunchy Carter and John Huggins yearly where they were slain in Campbell Hall.
