West Hollywood, CA–A 45-year-old man was shot at the Sunset and Vermont stop on Metro’s red line in East Hollywood.
A 26-year-old man is in custody on attempted murder charges for the shooting which occurred at 1:00 a.m. this morning.
The victim whose identity has not been released, was taken to the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition by LAPD. The shooting occurred after an argument.
This stop was also the same location where a woman was brutally raped, choked and beaten March 14.
The suspect in the rape case is still at large.
He is described by authorities as a Black man with a shaved head, brown eyes, and an earring in his right ear. He is between 5-feet-10 and 5-feet-7 weighing 165-180 pounds, with a scar on his left forearm.
