Beverly Hills, CA–There are a new breed of bold thieves in Los Angeles who have been targeting high end stores since the beginning of the pandemic. Peter Sedhi was involved in a jewelry heist, where thieves smashed through his store windows with sledge hammers and stole jewels and watches worth an estimated $9,000,000 while people watched in traffic.
Sedhi speaks on how Beverly Hills was once the safest zip codes in Los Angeles County, now it is becoming prime target for thirst thieves who commit acts in broad daylight. Since the robbery, Sedhi has increased security, along with adding extra security measures, such as his store filling with smoke if he sets off his panic alarm.
Sedhi hopes this will help to limit a robbers ability to steal items, as well make them disoriented enough to lock inside the store until police arrive.
