Los Angeles, CA — In a historic and inspiring victory, Sade Elhawary has won the race for the California State Assembly District 57 seat, marking a new chapter of representation and community-focused leadership for Los Angeles.

I also loved the fact she was a foster mother and opened her home to a young woman she was mentoring, so the girl could stay in her school district and on track to graduate.
