Atlanta, Georgia--As Billionaire investor Robert F. Smith gave this year’s commencement speech at Morehouse College in Atlanta, he delivered a shocking announcement. His revealed that his family plans to develop a grant that will cover all student loans for this years graduating class.
Smith is a billionaire and is said to be the richest Black man in America, worth over $5 Billion. This distinguished man worked as a chemical engineer for companies including Kraft & Goodyear.
After working as a technology investor for Goldman Sachs, Smith branched out to create his own company, Vista Equity. The company claims assets over $40 billion and invest in software data and tech companies.
In 2015, Smith married Playboy’s 2010 mate of the year, Hope Dworaczyk.
“On behalf of the eight generations of my family who have been in this country, we’re going to put a little fuel in your bus,” he told the newly minted graduates in Atlanta before saying his family was creating a grant to eliminate their student loans.
