Los Angeles, CA—Model and philanthropist Ebonee Davis will hold a fundraiser in Los Angeles this weekend Feb. 22 at Vector 90. Davis made her mark in the modeling world by unapologetically embracing her natural hair while modeling in some major campaigns including Calvin Klein and most recently, Beyonce’s Ivy Park x Adidas campaign.
She gave a TED Talk in 2017, highlighting her journey as a Black woman in the modeling world and their duty to uplift the perception of Black people in fashion media.
Modeling has given Davis the opportunity to travel the world and visit places like Ghana in Africa. Now, through her non-profit, DAUGHTER, Davis provides young scholars with the opportunity to connect to their roots and begin the same journey of self-discovery that has empowered Davis.

DAUGHTER provides sponsorships for scholars, who seek to “expand their narrative and reconnect with their roots. The Home Going experience hones in our “Birth Right” philosophy, which is the birth given privilege to have access to our ancestry.”
