Las Vegas police have released the full body camera footage of former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch, who was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence earlier this week. His lawyers however, claim Lynch was not driving under the influence because the car was parked at the time of his arrest
Portion of the video shows officers drag Lynch out of the vehicle, after a brief encounter, where Lynch tells officers that the car is not running before he is told by an officer to exit the vehicle.
Lynch appeared to be asleep at the wheel of his black Ford Mustang, with the front left tire missing.
He has been released on bail pending his Dec. 7 court date.
Lynch’s attorneys, Richard Schonfeld and David Chesnoff, disputed the accusations in a statement.
“Marshawn was not pulled over for a DUI. Rather the vehicle was safely parked and not in operation,” the statement said. “We are confident that when all evidence is presented, this will not be a DUI under Nevada law. Marshawn appreciates and is thankful for everyone’s concern and support.”
