Hollywood, CA–Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp released the following statement after a shooting at an AirBnB owned by Mellencamp left a man dead early this morning.
“Early this am we were informed by a 3rd party leasing and management company overseeing a rental home we own in Los Angeles that a shooting had taken place at the property. Foremost, we would like to extend our prayers and condolences to the family and loved ones affected by this tragic loss of life. We aren’t aware of any of the details beyond what we’ve been told or seen reported on the news and at this time we would like to refrain from commenting further as we wish for the focus to remain on the law enforcement officers who are diligently doing their jobs.”
At 7:30 a.m, the LAPD Hollywood division held a press conference regarding the shooting. Police detailed they have yet to release the identity of the victim who was shot and killed in the Hollywood Hills, although it was reported by TMZ that rapper Pop Smoke was the shooting victim.
There are several witnesses, and police say around 4:55 a.m someone contacted them from “back East” who said they received a call from the Hollywood home, saying someone was inside with a handgun.
