Los Angeles, CA—A March and rally will be held for Ryan Twyman this Sunday at Southwest College.
The 24-year-old was shot and killed by Sheriff’s in an apartment complex June 9, 2019. The shooting happened in an unincorporated area of Willowbrook near Compton.
Now, his family is forced to pick up the pieces and the mother of his children is forced to raise his children alone.
The rally is the third action planned by the family in their quest for justice. The family has obtained legal representation and can not share much about the status of the case.
After the shooting, police released video footage of the incident. In the video, you can see two deputies approach Twyman’s vehicle. One of the deputies walks to the back passenger door and opens it, the video shows. Moments later, the driver, who has been identified as Twyman, started the engine and reversed, catching the deputy in the door.
