Netflix currently occupies a 14-story high-rise on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, which is owned by Hudson Pacific Properties. The movie streaming company also signed a lease for a 13-story tower currently under construction across the street.
Hudson Pacific Properties owns both locations.
Most of the Westside Pavillion Mall on Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles will soon be converted to “state of the art creative office space.”
The news was announced in 2018 after Hudson Pacific Properties acquired majority ownership of the property from the real estate investment trust Macerich.
Developers are estimating renovations will cost around $410 million.
Hudson-Pacific announced that 100,000 square feet of the Westside pavilion will remain retail space, along with a movie theater.
The additional 500,000 square feet will be converted to office space.
Even though the project is not built yet, Google has agreed to lease all 500,000 square feet of office space. It was announced in January that the tech giant’s move in date is 2022. They will lease the property for 14 years.
In addition to Google, companies such as Amazon and Netflix are also snatching up office space in Culver City.
Apple signed the lease for an 128,000 square foot building in Culver City which is currently under construction near the Expo line.
Apple also currently leases an 85,500 square foot building in Culver City, in a building near the Expo line.

Amazon signed the lease for a 530,000 square foot studio set to be completed in 2021; as well as 75,000 square feet of office space located near the Culver City Steps.
