Leimert Park, CA–You can now vote in person in Leimert Park until Nov. 3. Polling booths have been set up in Hot and Cool Cafe by the city of Los Angeles and early voting started today.
Measures have been taken to accommodate voting in the 2020 election, while the U.S is still trying to manage the coronavirus outbreak, which has many parts of California under strict social distancing measures.
Hot and Cool Cafe has quickly grown as a cultural hub for African-American’s in Los Angeles. Anthony Jolly, who is owner of the vegan eatery, says the local organization Community Coalition were deeply concerned with the number of available polling places for members in the community.
As a community space, we had to step in and fill that void,” Jolly expressed.”

As of today there will be an additional 650 polling centers opening in Los Angeles County. Click this link to find a polling site near you. You still have the option of dropping off your ballot at over 400 ballot drop boxes in Los Angeles County.
