Los Angeles, CA–The Los Angeles Police Department is under fire today after video uploaded to social media show them beating protesters with batons outside the home of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. Police report they grabbed a protester for blowing a bullhorn which is considered illegal and that one person was arrested on suspicion of “lynching” (trying to remove someone from police custody).

Protesters continue to show up to Garcetti’s home to discourage Joe Biden from picking him for his administration. Rumors have been circulating that Garcetti is being considered to head the transportation department, although he has publicly declined any White House considerations.

The protest has been organized by BLMLA and Ground Game L.A and they are calling for people to show up tomorrow morning for the 14th consecutive day. Various political figures took to Twitter condemning the actions of LAPD along with the arrest of an individual who was later released.
