Two Arrested in The Murder of Compton Rapper Slim 400

Compton, CA–Two people have been arrested in connection to the murder of Compton rapper Slim 400, who was shot Dec. 2021 in Inglewood, CA. Slim 400, whose real name is Vincent Cohran, was born in Frankfurt, Germany to military parents.

Michael Lanell Terry, 33, of Los Angeles, and Tamra Lynn Bell, 42, of Inglewood, were apprehended by authorities last week.

Bell, is being charged as an accessory.

“Slim 400 was fatally shot while getting out of a vehicle in a neighborhood just east of SoFi Stadium, home to the NFL’s Rams and Chargers, police said. The rapper’s body was found in the street near a residential driveway. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead,” NBC).

In 2019, Slim 400 survived after being shot multiple times in Compton. He was an affiliate and close friends with fellow Compton rapper YG, and had been signed to the Pushaz Ink label. He appeared in the 2014 short film “Blame it On The Streets” that accompanied the studio release of YG’s album of the same name.

In addition to releasing several albums and mixtapes including his 2021 Ice Wata distributed through EMPIRE, Slim 400 has collaborated with numerous rappers including Compton AV, Sada Baby, Philthy Rich, Mozzy and Berner.
