San Fernando Valley, CA– Compton rapper Keenan Jackson, also known by his stage name YG, was arrested early this morning at his San Fernando Valley mansion, according to police.
A search warrant was served this morning around 4:00 a.m on YG’s home by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
According to investigators and news reports, YG was arrested on robbery charges, relating to what police refer to as an “ongoing criminal investigation.”
In July 2019, YG’s home was raided after his SUV was involved in a shoot-out that resulted in the death of 65-year-old Rickie Cornell Starks. Multiple people were detained, but YG was not home during the time of the raid.

The shoot-out began when deputies from the Compton Sheriff’s station initiated the pursuit of a black Cadillac Escalade for suspected reckless driving or DUI, police said.
According to police, someone in the Escalade opened fire on the deputies with a high-powered assault rifle and they returned fire at Spruce Street and Aranbe Avenue.
Deputies say they came under fire a second time in the 1900 block of 199th Street and returned fire.
As of Friday evening, YG was not listed as an inmate on the Los Angeles County inmate locator website. His bail was set at $250,000.
In 2016, YG released the song, “Fuck Donald Trump,” with the late Nipsey Hussle, who was gunned down at his business in Los Angeles March 2019.
