Mayor of Leimert Park Drops “South Central Sev” Music Video

South Central, Los Angeles–Following a wildly successful summer of brand collaborations and community events that included a massive Juneteenth festival in Leimert Park, Six.Sev is ending 2020 strong with the release of his music video “South Central Sev.”

In July 2019 Six Sev dropped his debut project, Sevshaw which is available on streaming platforms including Spotify and Tidal. Following his “Rodney King” video, Six Sev is now back with  “South Central Sev” which gives you an authentic but mellow West Coast vibe that represents Los Angeles. Not Hollywood but South Central.

The beat is a Deangelo sample mixed with some g funk produced by Crui$e Control who is also a Los Angeles native.  The video gives you the South Central experience through a flashback first and then showing the modern day Crenshaw, as artists like Six Sev begin taking the torch and representing a new generation of Crenshaw Greats.

In the video Six Sev is seen sporting a custom 1 of 1 leather jacket that he designed with the legendary Jeff Hamilton to commemorate the Life of Nipsey Hussle.

Hence, the lyrics, “It went out of style I brought it bac in.” Essentially, “South Central Sev” is the theme song to represent the Crenshaw District where Six Sev is from.
