Los Angeles, CA—A study released recently by a non profit based at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, shows that crimes against women by their intimate partners is amongst the highest reported crimes against women in Los Angeles.
The 9,503 reports of such cases in 2018 comprise about 10% of all crimes against females during that period, according to the Los Angeles Police Department data compiled by Crosstown.
According to the law, an intimate partner can be classified as current/past boyfriends, or someone you have had sexual encounters with.
