Dallas, Texas–Joshua Brown, a key witness in the Amber Guyger trial, was found shot to death Friday, two days after testifying in court. The fact that Brown had just testified against a cop, led many to speculate that Brown’s murder was retaliation for testifying.

Dallas Police held a press conference today, to announce an arrest has been made in Brown’s murder and that two more men are wanted.

According to police, Jacquerious Mitchell, 20; Michael Mitchell, 32; and Thaddeous Green, 22, traveled from Alexandria, Louisiana, to purchase drugs from Brown.

When the men met up for the purchase, an argument arose, which led to the shooting.

“According to suspect Jacquerious Mitchell, all three suspects drove from Alexandria Louisiana to purchase drugs from Joshua Brown. Thaddeus green was the facilitator, he contacted Joshua Brown. Thaddeus Green gets out the vehicle, has a conversation with Joshua Brown, which escalates to a physical altercation,” Dallas Police said during a press conference today.

According to suspect Jacquerious Mitchell, as he is getting out of the car, he is ordered back inside the vehicle by Brown, who then shoots him in the chest. While laying in his vehicle bleeding, he hears multiple gun shots.

Mitchell identifies Thaddeus Green shooting Brown, and taking Brown’s “drug-filled” backpack.

Mitchell was transported to a hospital by Michael Mitchell, who first dropped Green off at an unknown location. Both Green and Mitchell are wanted by police. Capital murder charges will be filed against Jacquerious Mitchell today, according to Dallas police.

Brown’s family have requested that the case be taken out the hands of the Dallas Police Department.

Following Brown’s murder, Shaun King announced there was a $100,000 reward for information in Brown’s case.

“My friend and brother Bill Perkins @BillPerkins is providing $100,000 for the reward to help us find who murdered Joshua Brown.

Joshua was executed.

He was a lead witness in the murder of Botham Jean & was shot & killed right there in his apartment complex. We will not stop until we find who did this. Joshua had no enemies, no debts, worked full-time and lived a very quiet life,” Shaun King writes on Instagram.

Despite the DPD press release on Brown’s killing being a drug deal gone bad, many still do not buy the official narrative presented by police.
