President Donald Trump ordered an air-strike in Iran yesterday that killed one of Iran’s top military commanders, Qasem Soleimani. Trump defended the attack by claiming he was disrupting a planned attack on the U.S by Iran.

Trump did not consult with Congress or get authorization prior to the attack, which caused swift backlash by politicians.

“He was planning a very major attack and we got him,” Donald Trump said at a rally Friday night.

The move however, has left many within the political and military world wondering what is next to come. According to CNN, military officials are preparing themselves for retaliation just in case.

“There are conflicting views” on whether Iran will quickly retaliate or wait, but US military defenses are ready, the official said,” (CNN).

Various U.S intelligence agencies believe that Iran retaliating is not a matter of question. When exactly and how long from now the attack will be, is the only thing that has officials scratching their heads.
