17-Year-Old in Grave Condition After Fire on Hoover Street in South Central

South Central, Los Angeles–A 17-year old girl is fighting for her life today, after a fire left her with burns to 60% of her body. The fire was reported around 1:00 a.m Sunday morning on Hoover and 52nd street.

When firefighters arrived, they reported that no smoke detectors were going off, although the girls grandmother reported hearing one>

The girl was reported unresponsive when she was transported to a nearby hospital. She lives at the residence with her mother, brother and grandparents.

Her grandfather also sustained injuries trying to help her out of the fire.
