Social Media Campaign: Afro Punk Picks Up David Josiah Lawson’s Story

Media Platforms owned and operated by people of color is very important–especially if you are a POC attempting to share lived experiences that is an unpopular truth in a community where you are the minority.

Students in Humboldt County are currently on a social media campaign to bring national attention to their murdered classmate David Josiah Lawson and the lack of justice he has received almost a year later.

This article does a good job presenting Arcata and HSU from the POC perspective.
