Pennsylvania–Police shot and killed a 17-year-old boy who fled during a traffic stop Tuesday evening. A silver Chevy Cruz had been broadcasted to officers as being involved in a shooting. Around 8:40 p.m, officers spotted a car fitting the description and pulled the car over. Officers apprehended the driver but the two other occupants fled on foot. ABC News reports:
“The officer shot three times at one of the fleeing people -– the 17-year-old — and struck him three times, police said. The 17-year-old, Antwon Rose, was taken to a hospital where he died, the medical examiner’s office said.”
KDKA-TV reports that the officer accused of killing Rose was only sworn into duty a few hours before the shooting.
